| Performing Arts Center of Carmel is Located at; 575 West Carmel Drive, Carmel, Indiana 46032 Located in one of the best locations in Carmel, this very spacious Dance Center has 2 regular dance size studios & an auditorium-dance studio with a full size stage. Each studio is equipped with mirrors from wall to wall & dance wood floors. A convenient dance-wear store is located inside the building. The Lydia Weimer Auditorium is used for many performances for the students of the Performing Arts Center, and also rented for community, corporate and private functions. The Auditorium is available for Rental and Birthday Parties. Call their office for more details. | Founded by Claudia Williamson-Martinez Owner and Director of Indy Latin Dance LLC. Claudia was born in Colombia, Bogota. She arrived to United States in 1988 and was partially raised in Miami, Fl where she attended school. She married in 1994 has 2 children. Claudia's parents and sister live in Indiana as well. She has been dancing since age 5. Her love and passion for dance has always been part of her life from a very young age. For the past couple of years she has been invited to perform in various venues. Including Governor Daniel's INShape Sport Spot at the State Fair 2007, 2008, U.S. Surgeon General Rear Adm. Steven K. Galson, M.D., M.P.H. promoting U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Childhood Overweight and Obesity Prevention Initiative in Indiana at Douglas Park 2008, Youth Summit-Reducing the Risks: Hoosier Teens Talk at the Convention Center 2008, Indiana Minority Health Coalition 7th Annual Indiana Conference on Cultural Competency for Behavioral Health Care at The Lilly Conference Center 2008, The Children's Museum 2006, 2007, 2008, Mayor Bart Peterson Celebration of the Latino Family 2007 at Garfield Park, Univision Indiana WIIH Latino Music Day at the State Fair 2007, State Fair 2007, International Festival of Indiana at the State Fair 2007, Bridges of Hope 2007 and many others. Be ready for her fun, dynamic and educational workshops coming to you. Claudia's heart is to teach/share with others about her Latin roots/culture and the art of Latin dancing. |
