| Yoga is a way of life, an integrated system of education for the body, mind and inner spirit. This art of living was perfected and practiced in India thousands of years ago but, since Yoga deals with universal truths, its teachings are as valid today as they were in ancient times. Yoga is a practical aid, not a religion, and its techniques may be practiced by Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and atheists alike. Yoga means UNION-it is the name given to an ancient practice that helps to create a sense of UNION in all aspects of ourselves; in body, mind and spirit. Yoga practice embodies: *proper exercise-Asanas(poses) *yogic breathing-Pranayama *relaxation *meditation Yoga benefits with: -release the body tension -make your mind calm, clear, and peaceful -tone your body;help to lose the weight -sharpen your brain -teach about the mindfulness of your emotions and the body language -relief stress -relax, revitalize, and rejuvenate -strengthen and create the harmony of the body, mind and spirit.
