| Join our Folkloric dance group and perform in beautiful typical costumes . Which Folkloric dances do we learn & perform; Mainly Colombian Folklore; Cumbia, Contradanza, Joropo, Mapale, Bambuco to name a few... We also perform modern dances like; Hips don't lie, La Vida es un Carnaval AND MORE. Who can join the group & do you have to be LAtino/Hispanic origen? Kids ages 8 and up, teens, adults, parents and grandparents we can all dance Folklor. Anyone from any culture or origen can join the dance group. Do you perform at events? Definetly , we wish to share our beautiful Folklore. We perform at Community Events such as Mayor's Latino Family Fest 2007, State Fair 2007, Children's Museum 2006, 2007 , to name a few. When do you rehearse; We rehearse two Sundays per month from 1-2 P.M. at the Performing Arts Center of Carmel Dance Studio What is the cost for joining the group; Claudia the instructor and founder of the Folkloric group donates her time to teach, instruct and reherse with her students. You can join the group as there is no class cost. Costumes cost is usually donated by amazing sponsors. The only requirement is PASSION! |
